Finland: Life and Education, Simple Yet Elusive 



On Monday June 5th, 2017; Inter-cultural Salon was held at El-Araby Library, E-JUST. The seminar is titled: “Finland: Life and Education, Simple Yet Elusive”. It was presented by Associate Professor Dr. Atef S. Hamada - Materials Science Engineering Department, E-JUST. 



In this talk, one should get to know that Finland is known worldwide for its education system. Since it implemented huge education reforms 40 years ago. Finland’s school system has consistently come at the top for the international rankings for education systems. Living in Finland is like winning the lottery. For instance, Finland is the best place to live, according to Newsweek Gazette. The editors of Newsweek reached their conclusion based on five criteria; economic dynamism, education, political environment and life standard quality. 


Dr. Atef Hamada received his PhD. in Materials Science Engineering from Oulu-Finland University in 2007. Afterwards, he joined Advanced Steel Research Center, Oulu University as a Researcher for 3 years. His research interests span both new materials and manufacturing processes of advanced high strength steels.
