Minister of Higher Education: 85% for E-JUST Engineering and 70% for International Business Admission

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) announced the beginning of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST). It was established in 2009, based on the bilateral agreement between Egypt and Japan, to establish a Japanese University in Egypt. This also included agreement with Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) confirming that 85% is the minimum for Faculty of Engineering while 70% for International Business admission, as well as passing entrance examinations.
During the yesterday held conference at the Ministry of Higher Education headquarters; discussing E-JUST admission conditions, the Minister stated how Japan exerted utmost efforts for its establishment. The University began its postgraduate studies in 2010, graduating 171 scholars and 11 batches. Dr. Khaled Abdelghaffar also praised the implementation of research oriented studies, in cooperation with Egyptian Faculty Staff members at E-JUST, New Borg Al-Arab City. This is based under the framework of a quiet work environment of scientific research.
Moreover, the Minister clarifies that E-JUST initiated a new approach, regarding undergraduate students’ admission. The first Academic year 2017/2018 is scheduled to major in both Faculties of Engineering and International Business.
