Biomedical and Bioinformatics Engineering
Professor/ Associate Professor / Assistant Professor

We are looking for

- Ph.D. holders in biomedical engineering / bioinformatics with at least 3 years of teaching experience after the PhD degree.
- Strong research profile with record of publications in refereed journals and top ranked conferences.
- Applicants with experience in teaching undergraduate courses as well as teaching courses at the postgraduate level in the areas of biomedical signal processing, medical imaging, biomedical instrumentation, and bioinformatics.
- Experience with laboratory-based teaching and demonstrated ability to build and manage teaching and research labs.
- Applicants with ability to collaborate with both academic and industry professionals.

Role Expectations

A selected applicant is expected to teach a range of courses in core areas of biomedical engineering and bioinformatics both on the undergraduate and graduate level according to the highest quality standards. The appointee is expected to participate in updating the curriculum of the biomedical engineering and bioinformatics and seek required accreditation of the program. The appointee will be responsible for establishing teaching and research labs related to different courses and specializations in the program as well as managing the labs and recruiting research assistants to join the program by the different channels supported by the university. The selected applicant is expected to apply for research funds and capacity building funds to seek further evolution of the discipline. The appointee is expected to actively involve in innovative research and publish his/her research results in top tier journals and conferences. As one of the main pillars of E-JUST is to engage with the community and industry, the appointee is expected to actively collaborate with the industry and engage in different community service activities.
