The Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) organized today a seminar entitled “Japan Modernization Lecture Series/ JICA Chair”, in which Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, participated via video conference.
The Japanese ambassador, JICA regional director, JICA office director, and Prof. Hany Helal, former Minister of Higher Education, attended the seminar along with experts from 13 Japanese universities.
Prof. Ahmed El-Gohary, President of E-JUST, stressed during his speech that the importance of the seminar lies in the transfer of the Japanese experience to Egypt and the world, as it presents the miracle of Japanese modernity.
El-Gohary explained that during the seminar, the Japanese experience was discussed by Egyptian and Japanese experts to allow Egypt, Africa and countries around the world to benefit from it.
The university president thanked Prof. Kitaoka, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, for his effective contribution to today’s event, and also thanked Japanese Ambassador Masaki Noke for his support in organizing this event from the start for several months. He also thanked the members of the Japan International Cooperation Agency in Egypt and Japan for their constructive participation in organizing the event.
El-Gohary considered that organizing this event today is in line with the efforts of E-JUST towards developing education and is also considered a continuation of the efforts of the Egypt-Japan Business Council. The university president indicated that there is cooperation between Egypt and Japan in the most important national projects, namely, investment in the future modernization of schools and universities. This has been emphasized by President El-Sisi more than once.
