Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) President Prof. Ahmed Al-Gohary, signed a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Space Agency. The Agency representative is Executive Director of Egyptian Space Agency Dr. Mohamed El-Qousy.
This comes within the framework of the digital transformation adopted by the political leadership to achieve sustainable development.
E-JUST President explained that this protocol aims at making the most of the scientific and material potentials of the two parties. This includes research centers, laboratories, production workshops and scientific cadres. Thus, enhancing educational and research process, through the exchange of scientific and technical expertise in different fields. For instance; teaching techniques, training, postgraduate studies, scientific research as well as organization of workshops, conferences, scientific seminars. Besides, the use of research laboratories and equipment, as well as holding symposiums, events and joint training programs to disseminate knowledge of space science.
Moreover, Prof. Al-Gohary illustrated that this cooperation entails nanotechnology uses in addition to the use of artificial intelligence techniques and image processing. Also, this cooperation includes summer training of Egyptian Space Agency educational satellite program during the summer of 2020. This shall take place by introducing and training E-JUST students and faculty staff members on space technology.
In conclusion, Prof. Ahmed Al-Gohary pointed out that Egypt can achieve a qualitative economic leap thanks to cooperation among different research centers and universities. Consequently, promote economy knowledge, which has risen the economies of several countries around the world.
