Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology commends the student Khloud Mansy for qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics
Today, the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology in Alexandria organized a celebration to support the student Khloud Mansy after she qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics to compete in sailing.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Prof. Ahmed El-Gohary, President of the University, Prof. Sameh Nada, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Education, Prof. Amr Eltawil, Dean of the School of Innovative Design Engineering and the student’s academic advisor, and Prof. Isam Hamza, Senior Advisor to JICA Office – E-JUST Project.
For his part, Prof. Ahmed El-Gohary said that the university is proud that the first Egyptian girl to qualify for the Olympics in sailing is one of its students, wishing her success and continued scientific and athletic excellence and an honorable representation of her country, Egypt.
Prof. El-Gohary added that the university provides full scholarships for students who excel in sports, as it always seeks individuals who are scientifically and athletically distinguished. The university aims to contribute to building the student’s personality and preparing him/her to excel academically and scientifically.
For his part, Prof. Sameh Nada explained that the university provides all means of support for students who excel in sports to achieve a balance between their athletic and academic excellence. This was achieved by providing exceptions for the student so that she could attend sports tournaments.
