Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology Donates L.E. 500,000 to the Tahya Misr Fund
Within the framework of the university’s role to communicate and serve its community, the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology has provided L.E. 500,000 for Tahya Misr fund in response to the initiative launched by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to support the fund to help the labor force overcome the plight of the Corona virus pandemic that struck the world.
Dr. Ahmed El-Gohary, President of the University, explained that this contribution was made by all university employees, including faculty members, their assistants, and the administrative body. It is worth noting that in continuation of the support of our Japanese partners, represented through experts, Japanese faculty members and staff of JICA Egypt Office, they also donated to help face the Corona pandemic which affected irregular employment. This comes from their belief that the way out of this crisis will not be achieved unless everyone joins hands.
The university community, as a whole, praises the medical staff, the “White Egyptian Army”, working on the front lines against the pandemic together with the concerted efforts of the various state agencies. These include the distinguished role played by the great Egyptian Army, the honest policeforce, universities, university hospitals and research centers throughout the nation to escape this crisis with the least possible damage to the health and economic wellbeing of the country.
