For the First Time Springer Nature Connects Researchers and Scientific Publishers across the Continent at the Spot On Conference in London And E-JUST Office in Cairo

On Thursday November 21st, 2019 – Springer Nature Co. organized the Spot On conference in cooperation with Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST). For the first time since its launch, this distinctive event is held simultaneously in London and E-JUST Smart Village Cairo Office. This Conference brings together leading researchers and speakers from United Kingdom (UK), Egypt, and other countries. Hence, triggering related issues to sustainable development, science-related policies, and the best way to connect global research community.

In addition, it highlights science-related policies as well as promotes science support and modern technologies. Spot On Conference celebrates its tenth anniversary by establishing a link between researchers and scientific publishers across the continent. Thus, providing a unique opportunity for fruitful discussions, collaboration opportunities and innovation among global research community members.

Moreover, Spot On Conference included several prominent speakers. For instance, former Founder and Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina Prof. Ismail Serrag ElDin as well as African Academy of Sciences Vice-President in Kenya/ Zewail City/ Sohag University in Egypt Mr. Mahmoud Abd ElAty. As from E-JUST side, Vice President of Scientific Research Prof. Satoshi Goto was among the speakers. This year’s event coordinates discussed research dissemination methods to reach set societal impacts under UN 2030 Agenda. Besides, achieving aimed Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The conference also pointed out to exerted group efforts in order to address some of world’s greatest challenges. Speakers addressed issues tackling research influence on policy-making and how technologies can help research overcome challenges. They also discussed case studies in the field of scientific journalism.

Furthermore in this respect, E-JUST President Prof. Ahmed Al-Gohary stated: “It is our pleasure and pride to host Spot On conference at our Cairo headquarters. This originates from the University’s keenness bridging communication gaps with researchers in various scientific fields and modern technology applications.”
