Four Hundred Professors and Experts Participate in the “Japanese Modernization Lecture Series/ JICA Chair” Seminar at the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology
Prof. Isam Hamza, professor of Japanese Studies and Director of the Liberal Arts and Culture Center at the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), said that the large international turnout for participation in the seminar “Japanese Modernization Lecture Series/ JICA Chair” is due to the worldwide interest in the Japanese modernization experience, which is the miracle of the twentieth century. The event was organized by the University under the auspices of Prof. Khaled AbdelGhaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation and Prof. Ahmed El-Gohary, in the presence of the Japanese ambassador in Cairo, Noke Masaki, and with the participation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
He pointed out that many professors from universities in Japan that have scientific and academic partnerships with the University participated in the seminar through Zoom, including many scholars and those interested in Japanese affairs in Asia, Africa and the Arab world which numbered to about 400 participants.
Towards the end of the seminar, Prof. Hamza thanked all those who sponsored the seminar and all those who participated in the success of the event, wishing that they would enjoy the same support and participation in future seminars related to the “Japan Modernization Lecture Series”.
