H.E. Ambassador Faiza Abou El-Nagga and Japanese Ambassador inaugurates E-JUST, Borg Al-Arab
Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairperson H.E. Ambassador Faiza Abou El-Nagga inaugurates New Activity Hub Building on Monday July 2nd, 2019. She shall be accompanied by Japanese Ambassador Masaaki Noki, First Vice-President of Japan International Cooperation Association (JICA) in Cairo Noriki Suzuki, and E-JUST President Prof. Ahmed Al-Gohary. The University is located in New Borg Al-Arab city, Alexandria.
E-JUST Activities Hub Building is on an area of 1300 m2. It includes a squash court, an indoor pool, a gymnasium, a ping pong table, two tennis courts and three five-ball playgrounds.
Prof. Ahmed Al-Gohary stated that E-JUST is concerned with athletic and entertainment aspects as well as offered advanced educational level, targeting the graduation of distinctive students. Egypt, presided by President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi, prioritizes Education and Health, as a vital pillar to Human base and Society booming. Affirming the immense received support for education and scientific research in Egypt at the moment. Besides, the unlimited support Egypt is giving for unique Universities, such as E-JUST.
E-JUST President elaborated that the Egyptian government funds the University headquarters construction works. It is expected to be completed within the coming two months, at a valued cost of 4 billion EGP. The Armed Forces Engineering Department is exerting its utmost efforts, to finalize the construction; preparing for the inauguration opening. E-JUST headquarters is regarded as one of a kind concerning the provision of encouraging atmosphere for innovation. The buildings are built on 17% of the total area of E-JUST Campus, which is 200 acres. It has been designed to be eco-friendly, applying advanced systems modern international techniques.
It has also been mentioned that E-JUST is a governmental University of special nature, established under the framework of the fruitful partnership between Egyptian and Japanese governments. Several scholarships have been granted to MSc. And PhD. Students. Cooperation is made with several Japanese Universities. In addition, E-JUST welcomes tens of Japanese Professors; to contribute in teaching University distinguished students. Also, delegating researchers to Japan for further completing their studies.
It is noteworthy to mention that admission is now open for undergraduate studies. Students can apply through E-JUST website for those who are interested from high school students, or attained equivalent certificates. The University is now receiving its second batch of Egyptian and African students. Studies include the latest science at both Faculties of Engineering and Business Management tackling specific disciplines. Thus, serving Scientific Research that drives economy and production. It is the cornerstone of any nation’s renaissance.
