Egyptian Science, Technology and Innovation Observatory announced the published research papers for international Egyptian researchers. The research papers reached 18722 in 2017, according to the SCOPUS global database.
According to Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) statement affiliated to the Ministry of Higher Education; Cairo University is ranked first in terms of internationally published scientific researches with 3507 researches. Followed by Ain Shams University in 1961.
Based on the Science and Technology Indicators annual report of 2017 issued by the Academy of Scientific Research, National Research Center came in third place with 1822 research papers.
As for research publishing rating, Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) ranked first with 5.1 research per researcher. Following that, Suez University with 0.38 research per researcher. Then, Mansoura University came with 0.28 research per researcher.
City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications ranked first for research centers with a rate of 0.76 research for each researcher. Center for Metallurgical Research and Development came after with a rate of 0.68 research for each researcher. Then the Petroleum Research Institute came at a rate of 0.57 research per researcher.
The monthly scientific research index is a science and technology indicator published by the Egyptian Science, Technology and Innovation Observatory at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology every month.
