Japanese Ambassador in Cairo Masaaki Nuki affirmed that the year 2019 is regarded as a historical year for his country. Japan shall witness three memorable events of major importance. First, Emperor and Empress let go of the throne, Japan having a new emperor. Second, Japan hosts the 20th Summit Group. Third, hosting the 7th TICAD Development Conference in Africa.
During his interview with a number of journalists and major Al-Ahram writers, the Japanese Ambassador discussed different international, regional and dual matters. He then answered the journalists’ questions regarding commercial, economic and political cooperation between Cairo and Tokyo. Besides, inquiries concerning Tokyo and Cairo cooperation in general. In addition, Japan’s valuable contributions in several projects in Egypt, headed by both Grand Egyptian Museum and Japanese Schools. Prof. Masaaki Nuki elaborated on the industrial evolution in Japan.
As for Higher Education, Egypt-Japan cooperation is mainly presented in Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology among other 15 universities based upon bilateral agreements.
