Training Students on Investment… A Cooperation between Egypt- Japan University and the Egyptian Stock Exchange

Prof. Ahmed El-Gohary, President of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), signed a cooperation protocol- today, Tuesday- with Dr. Mohamed Farid, Executive Chairman of the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX), to train university students on the basics of investing in the stock exchange.

The signing of the protocol at the headquarters of the University in New Borg El Arab City was attended by Prof. Sameh Nada, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Education, Prof. Adel Rayan, Dean of Faculty of International Business and Humanities, and the deans of schools at the Faculty of Engineering and Basic and Applied Sciences.

The Executive Chairman of The Egyptian Stock Exchange, during his tour on campus, praised student activities and the university’s unique programs, expressing his aspiration to cooperate with faculty members in various research fields. Dr. Farid, met with a number of students participating in the financial awareness initiative “Test your knowledge of the stock exchange”, which contributed to raising the awareness of more than 600 students.

Dr. Mahmoud Otaify, Assistant Professor of Finance and Investment at the Faculty of International Business and Humanities emphasized the importance of the protocol in raising financial awareness about the Egyptian Stock Exchange and investment at large. He indicated that the cooperation reflects the eagerness of the Egyptian Stock Exchange to support student activities, community participation and effective cooperation with universities.
