The university strives to attract the best student calibers who maintain scientific, ethical, athletic, and educational excellence, to set an example and shape leaders for society in the future. Thereby, the university incorporates the best calibers of academic faculty members – Egyptian and Japanese – as well as members of the administrative staff.
To this end, the university offers a set of grants to encourage and attract exceptional calibers that deserve to be affiliated with the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology to achieve the mission it was founded for, which is to provide the highest level of education and learning from within our homeland through high and sublime values ​​without compromise or concession, hence, to graduate citizens who are able to meet the call of the nation in its deserved growth and rise.
First: Academic Achievement Scholarship for Egyptian General Secondary Certificate – Thanawaya Ama
Academic achievement means academic excellence based on studies during the secondary level. It is calculated based on an equal percentage (50%: 50%) of:
Total student score in the Egyptian General Secondary Certificate – Thanawaya Ama- (not equivalent certificates) + the university entrance exam scores. This average should not be less than 85%.

A set of scholarships are listed under the Academic Achievement Scholarship:

  1. Achievement Scholarships for the top 100 in the Egyptian General Secondary CertificateThanawaya Ama:

These scholarships are granted to the top 100 students in the Egyptian – Thanawaya Ama Examinations (not equivalent certificates) from each division (Math, Science and  Literary) equivalent to the exemption of 100% of the tuition fees (not including accommodation and food).

  1. Achievement Scholarships for Governorates:

The top two students in each governorate in the Egyptian – Thanawaya Ama Examination (not equivalent certificates) from each division (Math, Science and  Literary) equivalent to the exemption of 100% of the tuition fees (not including accommodation and food).

In addition, the university offers five other achievement scholarships for students from the New Valley and North Sinai governorates.

  1. Scholarships for Academic Achievement and Passing Entrance Exams:

Outstanding students are granted reductions in tuition fees (not including accommodation and food) according to the average score of both the Thanawaya Ama and the university entrance examination as follows:

  • 40% reduction in tuition fees for students with a total of 95% or more
  • 30% reduction in tuition fees for students with a total of 90 – 95%
  • 20% reduction in tuition fees for students with a total score of 85 – 90%
  1. Enrolled students at the university:
  • receive a scholarship of 20% (additional scholarships) exemption from tuition fees (not including accommodation and food) for the academic year if they receive a 3.75 GPA in the previous academic year (Year GPA and not cumulative CGPA).

Second: STEM School Scholarships:

  • The top 25 STEM school graduates receive a full (100%) exemption from tuition fees (not including accommodation and food).
  • STEM school graduates receive 50% exemption from tuition fees (not including accommodation and food)

Third: Athletic Achievement Scholarship
Students who obtain gold, silver or bronze medals in international, Arab, African or national championships in individual or team games receive scholarships: exemption from tuition fees, according to the following table + 100 exemption of the accommodation, and food fees:

*These medals should be obtained during the past three years from the date of the student enrollment in the university.

Fourth: Scholarships for Sons and daughters of EJUST Faculty/Staff and Brothers/Sisters of EJUST students

Sons and daughters of employees at the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, who have been appointed at the university for one year, receive the following scholarships, as long as they still remain part of the university’s workforce or retired:

  • Sons and daughters of faculty members: receive a 50% exemption from tuition fees (not including accommodation and food)
  • Sons and daughters of staff members: receive a 75% exemption from tuition fees (not including accommodation and food)
  • The brother or sister of any male or female student who is studying at the university receives a 25% exemption from tuition fees (not including accommodation and food) upon joining the university
  • The brother or sister of any EJUST graduate receives a 20% exemption from tuition fees (not including accommodation and food) upon joining the university
  • Each twin or brothers/sisters receives a 25% exemption from tuition fees (not including accommodation and food) upon joining the university in the same academic year.

Fifth: Sons and daughters of the Military and Police Force Martyrs and the sons and daughters of health professionals who died fighting the spread of Corona pandemic

They receive a 100% exemption from tuition fees, accommodation, and food upon joining the university after submitting the official documents that prove so.

Sixth: Sons and daughters of Employees in the Following Entities

(a) Members of the Egyptian Armed Forces.

(b) Egyptian police personnel.

(c) Faculty members and admins in Egyptian public universities.

(d) Teachers working in Egyptian public schools.

Receive an exemption of 25% from tuition fees, excluding accommodation and food expenses, when they join the university.

Seventh: Sons and daughters of the Engineer Officers Working in the Armed Forces Engineering Authority

In recognition of the historical role of the Engineering Authority in building the campus, the university offers five full scholarships to the children of officers working in the Armed Forces Engineering Authority. These are to be distributed by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority with the approval of the university after passing the requirements for admission.

Important Note:

  • Organizational grants and financial aid distributed according to the conditions of the funding body and the regulations of the university
  • Academic achievement scholarships offered by the university are offered to fresh high school graduate students
  • All scholarships do not include the costs of retaking any course due to failure of the course or a desire for grade improvement
  • Student and guardian must sign the scholarship contract, which stands as an obligation of the two parties – the university and the student – to abide by the conditions of the scholarship granted
