The university strives to attract the best student calibers who maintain scientific, ethical, athletic, and educational excellence, to set an example and shape leaders for society in the future. Thereby, the university incorporates the best calibers of academic faculty members – Egyptian and Japanese – as well as members of the administrative staff. To this end, the university offers a set of grants to encourage and attract exceptional calibers that deserve to be affiliated with the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology to achieve the mission it was founded for, which is to provide the highest level of education and learning from within our homeland through high and sublime values ​​without compromise or concession, hence, to graduate citizens who are able to meet the call of the nation in its deserved growth and rise …

First: Academic Achievement Scholarship
Academic achievement means academic excellence based on studies during the secondary level. It is calculated based on an equal percentage (50%: 50%) of:
Total student score in the Egyptian General Secondary Certificate – Thanawaya Ama- (not equivalent certificates) + the university entrance exam scores. This average should not be less than 90%.
A set of scholarships are listed under the Academic Achievement Scholarship:

  1. Achievement Scholarships for Governorates:

The highest two students in the average score of both the General Secondary Certificate and the university entrance examination, from each of the Egyptian governorates, are awarded a scholarship equivalent to the exemption of 75% of the tuition fees (not including accommodation and food). In the absence of students from one governorate, the scholarship will be carried over to another governorate according to the order starting from governorates of Upper Egypt.

In addition, the university offers five other achievement scholarships for students from the New Valley and North Sinai governorates.

  1. Achievement Scholarships:

Outstanding students are granted reductions in tuition fees (not including accommodation and food) according to the average score of both the General Secondary Certificate and the university entrance examination as follows:

 

  • 40% reduction in tuition fees for students with a total of 95% or more
  • 30% reduction in tuition fees for students with a total of 90 – 95%
  • 20% reduction in tuition fees for students with a total score of 85 – 90%
  1. STEM School Scholarships:
  • STEM school graduates get 40% reduction in tuition fees (not including accommodation and food)
  • Borg El-Arab STEM school graduates get 50% reduction in tuition fees (not including accommodation and food)
  1. Enrolled students at the university who do not hold any form of scholarship:

They receive a scholarship of 20% reduction in tuition fees (not including accommodation and food) for the academic year if they receive a 3.5 GPA in the previous academic year (a general and not cumulative average).

Second: Athletic Achievement Scholarship

Students who obtain medals in international, Arab, or African championships in individual or team games receive full scholarships: exemption from tuition fees, accommodation, and food according to the following table:

Third: Child Scholarships for Faculty/Staff of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology
The children of employees at the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, who have been appointed at the university for one year, receive the following scholarships, as long as they still remain part of the university’s workforce:

  • Children of faculty members: receive a 50% reduction in tuition fees (not including accommodation and food)
  • Children of staff members: receive a 75% reduction in tuition fees (not including accommodation and food)
  • The brother or sister of any male or female student who is studying at the university receives a 25% reduction in tuition fees (not including accommodation and food) upon joining the university
  • The brother or sister of any university graduate receives a 20% reduction in tuition fees (not including accommodation and food) upon joining the university
  • Each twin or brothers/sisters receives a 25% reduction in tuition fees (not including accommodation and food) upon joining the university in the same academic year.

Fourth: Children of the Military and Police Force Martyrs
They receive a 100% exemption from tuition fees, accommodation, and food upon joining the university after submitting the official documents that prove so.

Fifth: Children of the Military and Police Force and Children of Public University/School Employees
They receive a 25% reduction in tuition fees (not including accommodation and food) upon joining the university.
Sixth: Children of the Engineer Officers Working in the Armed Forces Engineering Authority
In recognition of the historical role of the Engineering Authority in building the campus, the university offers five full scholarships to the children of officers working in the Armed Forces Engineering Authority. These are to be distributed by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority with the approval of the university after passing the requirements for admission.
Important Note:

  • Organizational grants and financial aid distributed according to the conditions of the funding body and the regulations of the university
  • No student can benefit from two scholarships at the same time
  • Academic achievement scholarships offered by the university are offered to fresh high school graduate students
  • All scholarships do not include the costs of retaking any course due to failure of the course or a desire for grade improvement
  • Student and guardian must sign the scholarship contract, which stands as an obligation of the two parties – the university and the student – to abide by the conditions of the scholarship granted
