Egypt - Japan University of Science and Technology is Ready to Receive Students for the New Academic Year

Prof. Amr Adly, President of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology confirmed that the university is ready to receive old and new students at the university’s faculties for the new academic year 2023/2022, which begins on the 1st of October. He explained that the necessary maintenance work has been completed in the university dorms, facilities, and buildings. Classrooms, laboratories, halls, and the central library were equipped with screens and teaching aids, applying all precautionary and preventive measures to confront Coronavirus, and sterilizing all halls and classrooms. The President of the University added that a plan has been set to support student activities, including cultural, social, sports and artistic activities. He added that the plan includes honoring top athletes and medalists in sports competitions and motivating students’ ability to create and innovate and participating in international competitions. Prof. Adly pointed out that there will be an orientation day organized to receive the new students, introduce them to the academic staff from both Egyptian and Japanese sides, and display services the university provides for students, students’ activities, and advantages of the Japanese model in Education. Regarding the academic programs offered by the university, he explained that the university prioritizes programs that qualify graduates for future jobs. He highlighted that the university's engineering schools offer programs in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering, Energy Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering. The Faculty of International Business and Humanities also offers programs of Accounting and Information Technology and Human Resources Management. Computer Science and Information Technology offers 4 programs, namely Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Computer Networks, Cybersecurity and Bioinformatics. The university offers students programs in Sustainable Architecture and a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy “PharmD” in addition to the new programs for a bachelor’s degree in Art and Design.
