E-JUST Students Achieve Second Place with "The White Beast" Submersible Drone in Go Dive Derby

"The White Beast"... A Submersible Drone Successfully Designed, Manufactured, and Programmed Prof. Amr Adly, President of the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, announced that a team of students from the university's Robotics Club won second place in the Go Dive Derby competition, which was organized for the first time in Egypt and hosted by the British University in Egypt in collaboration with organizations like Discovery and the Innovative STEAM Foundation, in addition to many sponsors including the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. The university's student team successfully designed, manufactured, programmed, and tested the submersible drone "Shiro Kaijin - The White Beast," relying on the resources provided by the university. The drone competed against other submersibles specifically designed for the competition from various universities. Prof. Amr Adly congratulated the winning student team, which includes Mechatronics Engineering students Mahmoud Morsi Khamis, Hamdy El-Nahas, Ahmed Loay Al-Ata, Basmla Ehab, Ammar Adel; Computer Engineering and Science students Abdulaziz Sarour, Ahmed Yasser Gamal, Karim Yasser Ahmed, Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, Menna Abdelmoty Nasir, Mostafa Ahmed Atef, Amr Abdelkhaleq Moshrif, Abdulrahman Ahmed Shaheen, Nadine El-Sayed, Anas Badr; Electronics Engineering students Ahmed Yasser Hefz, Maryam Mohamed Mahmoud Gad Allah; and Industrial Engineering student Omar Hussein. Prof. Adly pointed out that the Egypt-Japan University places great importance on encouraging its students to participate in various local and international competitions related to their fields of study, providing technical and financial support to achieve the university's mission and Egypt's Sustainable Development Strategy 2030 goals. The university offers its students all the necessary facilities in its labs, which are equipped with the latest devices and equipment provided by Japan to support the higher education and scientific research system in Egypt.
