The President of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, Prof. Amr Adly, received the ambassador of Uzbekistan, Tmansurbek Bakhtiyarovich, and Outaback Alimouf the Cultural Attaché of the embassy at the university’s headquarters in New Borg Al-Arab city, in the presence of Prof. Masaki Suzuki, Vice President of the University for Regional and International Affairs, as well as Prof. Sameh Nada, Vice President for Educational and Academic Affairs, along with the deans of the various faculties. Prof. Adly explained that means of cooperation have been discussed between E-JUST and numerous universities in Uzbekistan in addition to enrolling foreign students and exchanging experiences in the field of Entrepreneurship as well as partnerships in research projects due to the importance that E-JUST gives to supporting industries and creativity. Furthermore, the university’s philosophy and strategy have been shared along with the advantages of the Japanese model in education that the university is applying in addition to the educational systems and the Japanese academic concepts. These include ideas based on laboratory approaches in teaching and research based learning in order to support Egypt’s strategic plan for sustainable development as well as serving the national economy and supporting creativity and innovation by students. The Uzbekistani ambassador expressed how impressed he is by the university’s state of the art laboratories which have the latest technological equipment in the world, and by the Japanese model of education implemented by the university as he referred to how E-JUST provides education in accordance to the highest international standards. He clarified that means of coordination and collaboration between the university and Uzbakistani universities have been discussed.
