The Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) celebrated its Second Japanese Culture Day, highlighting the deep cultural ties between Egypt and Japan. The event was graced by the presence of H.E. Oka Hiroshi, the Ambassador of Japan to Egypt, and Mrs.Oka who were warmly welcomed by Prof. Hany Helal, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of E-JUST, and Prof. Amr Adly, President of E-JUST. Participants had the chance to engage in a range of traditional Japanese activities, including kimono wearing, the Japanese tea ceremony, flower arranging (Ikebana), and traditional Japanese games. These Japanese activities, designed to introduce and spread Japanese culture and rituals to students and participants. From tea ceremonies to calligraphy, martial arts displays, and cultural exhibitions, attendees had the opportunity to engage with Japan’s rich heritage. Prof. HASHIMOTO Shuji, First Vice President of Regional and International Affairs, and Prof. Sameh Nada, Vice President of Education and Academic Affairs, also attended the celebration. The event underscored the strong collaboration between Egypt and Japan, fostering a deeper appreciation for Japanese traditions and customs. The success of the event reflected E-JUST’s commitment to promoting cultural exchange and enhancing ties between the two nations.
