Prof. Amr Adly, President of the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), proudly announced the outstanding achievement of the IEEE E-JUST Student Branch, which secured First Place at the IEEE Computer Society Region 8 Students and Young Professionals (SYP) Congress 2024 held at The Knowledge Hub Universities (TKH) in the New Administrative Capital. Under the supervision of Dr. Maha El Sabrouty, the IEEE E-JUST Student Branch participated in the Battle of the Chapters poster session, competing against student branches, young professionals, and section chapters from across Region 8. Their exceptional performance earned them the honor of representing E-JUST at the IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors (BoG) meeting in Tokyo, Japan, in June 2025. The Computer Society Students and Young Professionals Committee will fully cover the travel expenses for Mohamed Ashraf Hasabo, IEEE E-JUST SB Chairman, to present the student branch’s achievements on a global platform. Prof. Amr Adly emphasized that this remarkable accomplishment reflects E-JUST’s commitment to fostering innovation, leadership, and excellence in technology, further strengthening the university’s global presence within the IEEE community.
