Prof. Amr Adly, President of the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), welcomed the President of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and an accompanying delegation, in the presence of senior representatives from JSPS and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The visit aimed to explore ways to strengthen academic and research collaboration between E-JUST and scientific institutions in Japan. Also present to receive the delegation were Prof. HASHIMOTO Shuji, Vice President for Regional and International Affairs, and Prof. FUKUDA Toshio, Vice President for Research, along with several faculty deans, faculty members, and JICA advisors at E-JUST. The visit included an official meeting with Prof. Amr Adly, followed by a presentation about E-JUST, a presentation by JSPS, and an open discussion on potential future collaboration. The delegation also toured the university campus, visiting the Center of Excellence, lecture halls, the main library named after H.E. Ambassador Fayza Aboulnaga, and the university’s gift shop. During the tour, the delegation was introduced to E-JUST's advanced research facilities and cutting-edge laboratories, which offer significant opportunities for researchers and students alike. This visit reflects E-JUST’s commitment to fostering academic cooperation, promoting joint research projects, and strengthening partnerships with Japanese scientific institutions, ultimately supporting innovation and scientific advancement across various disciplines.
