Towards Cooperation... Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina visits Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology at Borg El Arab

Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina, visited Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology in the New Borg El Arab city, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides. The Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina met Prof. Amr Adly, President of the Egypt- Japan University, in the presence of Prof. Mona Gamal El-Din, Dean of the school of Energy Resources, Environmental, Chemical, and Petrochemical Engineering and Prof. Adel Alsenn, Director of the Liberal Arts and Culture Center. During the meeting, the President of E-JUST portrayed the valuable books, references, scientific periodicals and research found in the central library of the university, to support students in the acquisition of science and knowledge. He pointed out that the philosophy of establishing E-JUST relies on the use of Japanese educational systems and academic concepts that are based on laboratory methods in learning and teaching based on research projects. Prof. Adly added that the university relies in its policy on taking advantage of the Japanese model of active learning based on experimentation, innovation and scientific research, and is unique in its academic disciplines to link graduates to the labor market. For his part, the Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina, during a tour of E-JUST’s buildings, expressed his admiration for the university's capacity and the philosophy of its establishment from the governments of Egypt and Japan, which is reflected in its management techniques.
