E-JUST Shines at the International Hackathon on Crisis Adaptability

The Egypt Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) in Alexandria achieved remarkable success at the Regional Hackathon on Adaptability in the Face of Crises, organized by AUF at Senghor University on March 15, 2025. The competition brought together over 200 students from across the region, forming 44 teams competing in five centers: Alexandria, Beirut, Cairo, Djibouti, and Tripoli. Representing E-JUST at the Alexandria center, the EJAP – Health team secured first place in Egypt with their innovative project, an AI-driven solution for microwave-based non-invasive glucose monitoring systems, providing a groundbreaking alternative to current invasive methods. This achievement earned the team a €500 grant, qualifying them to compete against the other winning regional teams in the final stage for an additional €1,000 prize. The winning team, consisting of Eng. Esraa Mansour, Eng. Julius Mlform Ambe, Eng. Patric Odong, and Eng. Abdelazim Atta, developed the project under the supervision of Prof. Adel Bedair. Their success underscores E-JUST’s commitment to cutting-edge research and technological advancements, reinforcing its role as a leader in scientific innovation and academic excellence.
