Prof. Amr Adly, President of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, received, a delegation from the Japan Foundation in Cairo, which included Ms. Ayumi Hashimoto, Director of the Foundation and Amy Yumoto, in the presence of Prof. Masaki Suzuki, Vice President for International and Regional Affairs, Prof. Sameh Nada, Vice President for Education and Academic Affairs, and Prof. Adel Alsenn, Director of the Liberal Arts and Culture Center, along with representatives from JICA. The delegation from the Japan Foundation presented E-JUST’s Library with a set of 87 valuable books in scientific, cultural, and literary fields to enhance Egyptian-Japanese cultural cooperation. Prof. Adly thanked Amb. Oka Hiroshi and the Japan Foundation for enriching the university's library with a set of books in the latest sciences, explaining that the books have opened wide horizons for students travelling with them across borders to learn about multiple civilizations and provide them with knowledge and science. He explained that the books were placed in the central library of the university, which bears the name of Amb. Fayza Abul-Naga in recognition of her great role in supporting E-JUST. In turn, Amb. Oka Hiroshi, the Ambassador of Japan, stressed, during the meeting via video conference, that Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology has become a beacon of Egyptian-Japanese cultural cooperation, praising the Japan Foundation's gift to the university library in a form of a collection of books to enhance cooperation with the university, support students, and support sources of science and knowledge.
