Under the auspices of Professor. Amr Adly, E-JUST President, and the supervision of Prof. Mona Gamal Eldin Ibrahim, EECE Dean, the School of Energy Resources, Environmental, Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering (EECE), in cooperation with Birla Carbon Egypt, launched the competition titled "towards sustainable future" for the second year with the theme “climate change” for EECE graduate and undergraduate students. The competition aimed at enhancing innovation at EECE students in the field of sustainability through research article. The research articles have been evaluated by professors from E-JUST, Alexandria University, and Pharos University, based on the following: • Environmental impacts and ecosystems. • Effect on society. • Feasibility of the project. • Project's economy. 10 Graduate (M.Sc. – Ph.D.) and undergraduate students participated in the competition presenting 9 research articles covering the sustainable development issues with the theme “climate change”. The final ceremony was held on Tuesday 25-10-2022 at E-JUST library theater, coinciding Egypt preparations to host COP27 conference, where the candidates presented their research articles and received the prizes provided by Birla Carbon Egypt as follows: The first prize: Eng. Abdelsalam Mohamed Abdelhady Zidan (M.Sc.) shared with Eng. Allan Takudzwa (M.Sc). The second prize: Eng. Norbert Rubangakene (M.Sc) shared with Eng. Kingsely Safo (M.Sc). The third prize: Eng. Mohamed Emad Abdelazeem (Ph.D) shared with Ms. Nada Abdelaziz Hassan Abdelaziz, (UG) and Eng. Aliaa Essam Eldin Rizk (TA).
