Commencement of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology's Board of Trustees Meeting

The Egypt- Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) Board of Trustees meeting started in Borg Al-Arab City, Alexandria, in its 24th session, headed by H.E. Ambassador Fayza Abou el-Naga, Former Minister of International Cooperation and the Egyptian President’s Adviser for National Security. Present were of Prof. Ahmad El-Gohary, President of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), Prof. Amr Adly, the new President of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), H.E. Oka Hiroshi, ambassador of Japan, Ms. IMOTO Sachiko, Senior Vice President of JICA, Prof. Masaki Suzuki, Vice President for Regional and International Affairs, Prof. Goto Satoshi, Vice President of Research, and Prof. Sameh Nada, Vice President for Education and Academic Affairs. Faculty deans participated in the meeting as well: Prof. Mona Gamal El-Din, Prof. Adel Rayan, Prof. Amr Al-Tawil, Prof. Adel Beder, Prof. Mohamad Mokhtar, Prof. Adel Al-Senn, Board of Trustees members from both sides; both Egyptian and Japanese. Participating in the meeting from the Egyptian side: Prof. Mahmoud Sakr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research, Prof. Hany Helal, Former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Shimaa Beheiry, representing the Ministry of International Cooperation, and the Egyptian private sector and industry were represented by Dr. Shereen Hassan Helmy and Eng. Mohamed El-Araby. Also participating in the meeting from the Japanese side: Ms. IMOTO Sachiko, First Senior Vice President of JICA, Council Vice President, Oka Hiroshi, the Ambassador of Japan in Cairo, Anna Yoshifumi Omura, President of JICA Cairo Office, and Prof. Katsuhiko Shirai, Former President of Waseda University. In addition to the above attendees, Prof. Kyosuke Nagata, President of Tsukuba University, Prof. Kazuya Masu, President of Tokyo Institute of Technology, Prof. Mitsuo Ochi, President of Hiroshima University, Prof. Yoshio Nakatani, President of Ritsumeikan University, Prof. Tatsuro Ishibashi, President of Kyushu University, and Ms. Okamura representing the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science.
