The Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology has started operating the solar power plant, which is located in the secondary campus in New Borg El-Arab City, Alexandria, Egypt, with a full capacity of 560 kilowatts, with the university president. The station is also equipped with a meteorological station that measures wind speed and direction, amount of rain, solar radiation, temperature, and humidity. The station is also equipped with a central monitoring system to monitor generation and detect faults. EJUST also plans to connect to the Egyptian electrical grid to export excess power to the grid, handle decisions made at COP27, and handle Egypt's Vision 2030.
