Egypt-Japan Education Partnership (EJEP) covers various stages of education in Egypt, from early childhood to higher education, and is aimed at introducing different facets of Japan's educational program into the Egyptian school system to strengthen the capacity of the nation's youth. There are two major projects under the partnership: the introduction of Tokkatsu at Egypt-Japan School and the establishment and strengthening of the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology. The National Security Advisor to President of Egypt, Chairperson of E-JUST Board of Trustees and Coordinator of EJEP, H.E. Ambassador Fayza Aboulnaga, discussed the partnership with JICA Senior Vice President, Ms. Imoto Sachiko, highlighting the need to produce quality human beings that make up the Japanese society. The partnership aims to improve Egypt's education system by learning from the Japanese model that emphasizes responsible contributions to society, basic knowledge, healthy bodies and healthy minds. H.E. President Sisi and the late Prime Minister Shinzo Abe agreed upon and announced EJEP during Sisi's visit to Japan in 2016.
