Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology Signs Comprehensive Partnership Agreement with Ezz Steel

We are thrilled to have signed a remarkable industry-academia cooperation agreement with Ezz Steel, one of the world's leading steel companies. The agreement was signed by our esteemed faculty member, representing our institution, The Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), and Eng. Farouk Ibrahim, the Chairman of Al Ezz Dekheila Steel Company, on behalf of Ezz Steel.

The MOU signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both Ezz Steel and E-JUST, Ezz Steel side includes: Eng. Mohamed Emam, Corporate Chief Technical Officer - Ezz Steel Group, Dr. Karim Hamdy, Corporate Human Resources Director - Ezz Steel Group and Dr. Taher Salah El Din, Central Repair Shop Executive Manager - Al Ezz Dekheila Steel  Company.

And From our Side includes, Prof. Suzuki Masaki, First Vice President of Regional and International Affairs, Prof. Sameh Nada Vice President of Education and Academic Affairs, and Prof. Amr Eltawil Dean of the School of Innovative Design as well as relevant Deans, Department Chairs, and Industry-Support Cluster, IT, and PR colleagues.

This agreement marks a comprehensive partnership that includes many initiatives, such as tailoring our undergraduate and graduate programs to meet the needs of the steel industry, financially and technically supporting talented students whose majors are relevant to the industry, directing research activities to address industrial technical challenges and competitions, and utilizing the state-of-the-art lab facilities available at E-JUST and Ezz Steel plants. Additionally, our partnership will involve training and capacity building opportunities for both Ezz Steel employees through relevant E-JUST training modules, and for E-JUST students and faculty members through internships and directed factory visits.

We are proud to have established this partnership, which aligns with our goal of preparing our students for the international job market, increasing our industry partnerships, and contributing to the national value added in line with Egypt Vision 2030 goals. Such partnerships also enhance our societal impact and value, which is a crucial aspect of our institution's mission.
