Professor Amr Adly, President of the Egypt Japan University for Science and Technology, received Iyad Abu Al-Hajjaj, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dar Al-Tahrir Publishing and Printing House and Abdul Razek Tawfiq, Chief Editor of Al-Gomhuria newspaper .
During the meeting, Prof. Amr Adly presented the strategy of theEgypt Japan University, including demographic statistics on age factors in several European countries, China, South Korea, Japan, and Egypt. He emphasized that the university's strategy aims to leverage Japanese expertise in providing world-class education and preparing graduates for local, regional, and international employment opportunities.
Prof. Adly explained the nature of the partnership between the Egyptian and Japanese governments in establishing and managing the university, as well as the composition of the Board of Trustees, chaired by Ambassador Faiza Abu El-Naga, representing both sides. He highlighted the educational philosophy and advantages of the Japanese model adopted by the university, as well as the technological capabilities of its laboratories and the new programs that align with the evolving needs of the job market.
Prof. Adly also mentioned the ongoing construction of new buildings for the university's campuses to increase the number of student rooms to 5,000, with each student having an independent room.
Iyad Abu Al-Hajjaj, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dar Al-Tahrir Publishing and Printing House, praised the Japanese educational experience applied by the university, which prepares students for future jobs. He commended the excellent design of the university campus in the Japanese style and the modern technological devices in its laboratories. He emphasized that the Egyptian Japanese University achieves unprecedented scientific and research accomplishments that contribute to Egypt's vision and goals for sustainable development by 2030 and support the industry.
Abdul Razek Tawfiq, Chief Editor of Al-Gomhuria newspaper, mentioned that this was his second visit to the university, and he noted the remarkable progress since his previous visit. He highlighted the completion of the university campus in record time and the addition of state-of-the-art devices to its laboratories. He described the university as an outstanding model in education and scientific research, playing a vital role in supporting the national industry and preparing graduates to compete in the international and local job markets, as well as directing scientific research to solve industrial problems.
At the end of the visit, the President of the university accompanied the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Chief Editor of Al-Gomhuria newspaper on a tour inside the university, visiting H.E. Fayza Abouelnaga's main library, Prof. Ahmed El Gohary's Center of Excellence for Research, and the Activity Hub. They also met with a delegation of students from Hiroshima University who were participating in a summer training program at the Egyptian Japanese University.
