JICA E-JUST Project
JICA E-JUST Project has been implemented since E-JUST’s inauguration stage based on the bilateral agreement. Brief history of the project is as follows:
Project Phase 1: Oct 2008 – Jan 2014
- Preparation for opening the university and starting postgraduate programs (Faculty of Engineering: FOE) (Feb 2010)
- 12 Japanese Supporting Universities
- Installing research equipment for postgraduate programs(about 2 billion JPY)
- First graduates (postgraduate) (MSc: 2012, PhD: 2013)
Project Phase 2: Feb 2014 – Jan 2019
- Opening undergraduate programs in FOE and Faculty of International Business and Humanities (FIBH) (Sep 2017)
- Installing research equipment for Postgraduate Programs (about 0.4 billion JPY)
- Assigning 2 Japanese Vice Presidents
- Expanding Japanese Supporting Universities (12 universities to 15 universities)
- Start accepting students from Africa and Middle East (including Syrian Refugees)
- Graduated 206 students in engineering fields (MSc: 89, PhD: 117)
Project Phase 3: Feb 2019 – Jan 2025
- Opening 2 postgraduate programs in FIBH
- Expanding undergraduate programs in FIBH
- Starting Zemi education an internship programs for undergraduate students
- First graduates (undergraduate)(FOE, FIBH: 2021)
