The Faculty of Art & Design invites qualified applicants for Teaching Assistant Scholarship positions to support teaching and research activities within the faculty departments.
Teaching Assistants will assist faculty members in courses, design studios, tutorials, workshops, and research activities related to the following disciplines:
Industrial / Product Design
Interior Design
Digital Animation & Game Design
Successful candidates will contribute to the academic, research, and administrative activities of the faculty while pursuing postgraduate studies.
Assisting in studio critiques and reviews; demonstrating software and drawing techniques; supporting students with design software troubleshooting; and managing digital submissions and studio documentation.
Participate in research activities, including discipline-specific and interdisciplinary research.
Assist with studio and laboratory preparation, including tools, materials, and digital resources.
Contribute to academic administration, including meetings, and course coordination.
Participate in faculty activities, exhibitions, workshops, and academic events.
Support other duties aligned with the mission and objectives of the Faculty of Art & Design and E-JUST.
Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Applied Arts, Fine Arts, Design, Animation, Game Design, Industrial/Product Design, Interior Design, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
Demonstrated strong academic and creative potential in the relevant specialization.
Preference for applicants currently enrolled in or planning to pursue postgraduate studies (MSc/PhD).
TOEFL iBT minimum score of 79, or
Academic IELTS minimum score of 6.5, or equivalent.
Industrial / Product Design
CAD and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, AutoCAD).
Digital fabrication tools (3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting).
Rapid prototyping and product development processes.
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods, and ergonomics.
Model making and design studio support
Interior Design
AutoCAD (2D drafting and construction documentation)
SketchUp & 3ds Max (3D modeling and spatial visualization)
V-Ray / Lumion (photorealistic rendering)
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign (presentation boards and portfolios)
Space planning, lighting design, and materials specification
Model making and design studio support
Digital Animation & Game Design
3D modeling and animation software (Autodesk Maya, Blender, 3ds Max).
Game development platforms (Unity or Unreal Engine).
Animation pipelines, character modeling, rigging, and rendering.
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere).
Ability to contribute to research activities in art and design.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative and multicultural academic environment.
Strong organizational, administrative, and multitasking abilities.
Previous teaching assistance, tutoring, or workshop instruction experience is an advantage.
Relevant professional or academic certificates are preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and time-management skills.
