Position Overview
The Department of Aerospace Engineering at the School of Innovative Design Engineering (IDE) of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) invites applications for faculty positions specializing in Aerospace Vehicle Dynamics and Control.
Applicants should demonstrate excellence in research and teaching in dynamics, guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) of aerospace systems. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: flight dynamics, spacecraft attitude dynamics and control, guidance and navigation systems, nonlinear and optimal control, autonomous systems, and control of UAVs and space systems.
Candidates are expected to establish strong research programs and contribute to advancing the department’s expertise in aerospace dynamics and control. Commitment to mentoring students and fostering an inclusive academic environment is essential.
Qualifications
Required:
Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or closely related field with specialization in Dynamics and Control.
Strong publication record in dynamics, control, or related fields.
Proven teaching ability.
Demonstrated research potential and creativity.
Preferred:
Experience in spacecraft attitude control, UAV control, or autonomous systems.
Experience in laboratory development (control systems, robotics, or embedded systems).
Industrial or applied research experience in aerospace systems.
Record of securing research funding.
Responsibilities and Duties
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in aerospace dynamics and control.
Develop new courses and update existing curricula in dynamics and control systems.
Establish and develop laboratories related to control systems, robotics, and autonomous aerospace systems.
Supervise student projects, theses, and research activities.
Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputable journals.
Secure external research funding.
Participate in departmental and university service activities.
