Position Overview
The Department of Aerospace Engineering at the School of Innovative Design Engineering (IDE) of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) invites applications for faculty positions specializing in Aerospace Structures.
Applicants should demonstrate excellence in research and teaching in aerospace structural engineering. Areas of interest include but are not limited to structural analysis and design, composite materials, fatigue and fracture mechanics, structural dynamics, aeroelasticity, lightweight structures, and experimental/ computational structural mechanics.
Candidates are expected to establish strong research programs and contribute to advancing the department’s expertise in aerospace structures. Commitment to mentoring students and fostering an inclusive academic environment is essential.
Qualifications
Required:
Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or closely related field with specialization in Aerospace Structures.
Strong publication record in structural engineering or related fields.
Proven teaching ability.
Demonstrated research potential and creativity.
Preferred:
Experience in composite structures, aeroelasticity, or structural testing.
Experience in laboratory development.
Industrial experience in aerospace structures.
Record of securing research funding.
Responsibilities and Duties
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in aerospace structures and related areas.
Develop new courses and update existing curriculum in structural engineering.
Establish and develop aerospace structures, laboratories and testing facilities.
Supervise student projects, theses, and research activities.
Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputable journals.
Secure external research funding.
Participate in departmental and university service activities.
