Job Title: - Environmental, Safety and Health Specialist
Job Summary: -
- Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies procedure and programs.
- Development and obtain the code of E-JUST for safety and environment protection, policies, penalties
for all kind of operations (laboratories experiments, construction works, maintenance operations)
according to standards and international codes.
- Ensure the hygiene and safety for the laboratories and safe handling of the solid and liquid
contamination.
- Ensure compliance of all kind of works in respect with the local, national and international HSE
regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.
- Identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct HSE training sessions for employees, contractors and stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Perform regular site inspections to ensure to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
- Perform and submit all periodic reports for the GOV. organizations.
- Prepare detailed reports on inspection finding and follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE records and documentation.
- Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to Engineering affairs GM.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Participate in HSE meetings.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirement & Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science from an accredited university.
- Professional certification in HSE (NEBOSH, IOSH OR OSHA) is preferred.
- Proven track record of managing HSE programs in universities, or related activities is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of English.
