As part of ongoing efforts to advance aviation education in Egypt and strengthen cooperation between academic institutions and leading global industry partners, a high-level meeting was held between the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) and Airbus at E-JUST’s premises in Smart Village. The meeting aimed to explore potential areas of collaboration in education, scientific research, and training related to the aviation industry.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Hany Helal, Chairman of E-JUST Board of Trustees and Former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Amr Adly, President of E-JUST; Prof. Ahmed El-Sabbagh, Vice President for Education and Academic Affairs; and Prof. Amr Eltawil, Dean of the School of Innovative Design Engineering. Representing Airbus were Dr. Emad Ben Abdallah, Global Commercial Accounts Director for Airbus in Egypt; Ms. Houda Belghaith, International Growth Manager for Africa; and Dr. Houssem Elhami, Head of Aftermarket Services Research for Africa and the Middle East.

During the meeting, E-JUST presented its academic and research capabilities, including its specialized educational programs and state-of-the-art laboratories designed to support research and industrial applications across various engineering and technological fields.

The discussions also addressed future opportunities for cooperation between both sides to support the development of aviation education in Egypt through knowledge exchange and the adoption of international best practices in training and scientific research. Such cooperation would contribute to preparing highly qualified graduates capable of meeting the needs of the civil aviation sector and its related industries.

The participants emphasized the importance of continuing discussions to explore new avenues of partnership that would strengthen Egypt’s position as a regional hub for education and training in aviation and advanced technology, in line with the country’s plans to develop the air transport sector and its supporting industries.

This potential cooperation comes within the framework of the longstanding relations and strong partnership between Airbus and the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as E-JUST’s commitment to expanding its network of international partnerships with leading global industrial institutions in support of scientific research, innovation, and sustainable development.
