Legal Basis:
The "Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center" has been established at the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology as an extension and development of the current center which was established at the university in 2013. It is considered an administratively independent scientific center, reporting directly to the university president.
A Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit for the Faculty/Institute/Program (name of the school/institute/program)" is to be established in each school, institute, and program at the university. These units were established in 2024 and serve as branches of the Center within the schools, institutes, and programs. They are also regarded as administratively independent scientific units reporting to the dean of the school/institute or the program director.

Evaluating the university performance concerning all educational aspects and activities in light of national, regional, and global performance standards to achieve comprehensive quality and continuous development of the university education system. This aims to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the university’s educational outcomes, positioning Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology among distinguished universities nationally, regionally, and globally.

Completion of the internal quality assurance systems across all university schools, institutes, and programs, enabling continuous development and qualifying them for institutional accreditation and academic accreditation for their programs from distinguished national, regional, and international bodies.

Each school, institute, and program unit determines its vision to align with the vision of the university’s Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center.
Objectives of the Center and Units:
The center and its units in the university’s schools, institutes, and programs aim to evaluate university performance, develop the educational and research processes, serve the community, and develop the environment as well as assist the university’s schools and institutes in obtaining institutional and academic accreditation for their programs through the following sub-objectives:
- Evaluating the educational process by measuring the performance indicators of its inputs and outputs (faculty, staff, students, graduates, etc.).
- Designing and preparing evaluation forms or necessary tools that include evaluation mechanisms, standards, and procedural steps necessary for implementing the evaluation system.
- Spreading an evaluative culture among faculty and students through organizing discussion sessions, workshops, and training courses focused on evaluating university performance and quality assurance.
- Exchanging expertise and ideas for developing university education with similar centers and units in Egyptian, Arab, and international universities, to achieve the desired development.
- Creating a comprehensive database and files for all study programs and courses offered by the university, in preparation for the accreditation of those that meet the standards of relevant local and international bodies.
- Identifying strengths and weaknesses in the capacities and academic programs offered by the university, providing appropriate proposals and means to address them, and developing action plans with specific timelines, responsibilities, and necessary resources.
- Monitoring the development of the university’s schools, institutes, and programs to ensure that their graduates achieve a distinguished level compared to graduates of similar schools/institutes/programs at other universities, thereby enhancing their competitiveness in the national, Arab, and international job markets.
- Establishing communication channels with national and international bodies concerned with quality evaluation and assurance in higher education to exchange expertise and improve the educational performance at Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology.
- Preparing and monitoring training programs that contribute to the implementation of internal quality assurance mechanisms and professional development for faculty members, especially programs that focus on completing program and course files and using the internet and advanced technology in the educational process.
- Monitoring the evaluation of performance in new university education systems, such as distance learning.
